In 2009, during my studies in architecture & civil engineering at the University of Leuven, I started blogging at Au pays des merveilles. Intended to share everything that inspired me, my blog quickly evolved into an online magazine that allowed me to experiment with photography, writing and art direction.
After spending a semester in Lisbon, I relocated to Antwerp from where I finished my degree in architecture and engineering and did an internship with a creative studio focused on design and communication. Next, I started an internship with a local architecture and interior design office. My weekends and evenings however, were spent working on my blog and on photography jobs for several architecture offices. I was quick to realize that, despite my lifelong interest in architecture, my heart was with photography and content creation.
I quit my architectural internship and decided to further develop my career as a freelance photographer. Simultaneously, I put my years of experience in the world of blogging and social media to good use and started creating content, managing social media accounts and developing social media strategies for various businesses in the field of design and architecture. My affinity with and knowledge of this creative scene granted me with a unique point of view that comes in handy when translating the vision of a brand, office or store to powerful content and a fitting social media strategy.
Long story short: combining a background in architecture and interior design with an eye for photography, witty writing skills, a deep understanding of the everchanging world of social media and endless creativity, I’m your go-to person for anything interior related in this buzzing online world.
